Accelerating Fusion: The AI Advantage at SCSP AI+ Expo

On May 6, 2026, the Fusion Industry Association will host a special session at the SCSP AI+ Expo on Accelerating Fusion: the AI Advantage. This event will explore the link between AI and fusion energy, and how AI is accelerating commercial fusion deployment. The session will take place in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in room 152A starting at 10:30am. Our speakers include Kate Kelly, Chief Strategy Officer for Avalanche Energy, Sebastian De Pascuale, Computational Plasma Physicist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and as moderator, Andrew Holland, CEO at the Fusion Industry Association.

On May 7-9, SCSP is hosting its third AI+ Expo at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The AI+ Expo is the place to convene and build relationships around AI, technology, and U.S. and allied competitiveness. The purpose behind this event is to serve as a forum for industry, government, and academic research entities to exhibit some of the latest technological breakthroughs – in AI, biotech, energy, networks, compute, microelectronics, manufacturing, augmented reality, and beyond – and discuss their implications for U.S. and allied competitiveness.
