FIA Hosts Virtual Summer Seminar Program
This summer, the FIA will host its second annual Summer Seminar program, open to interns of all FIA member and affiliate member companies. Aiming to expand awareness of fusion development at the policy and industry levels, the series allows interns to engage with leaders at the forefront of policy, regulations, investment, and industry.
Recent advancements in fusion technology have placed the industry on the precipice of deployment, with 89% of fusion companies anticipating commercialization in the 2030s. Today, over 4,000 people are directly employed at fusion developer companies, but many more will be needed to build and scale on a global, commercial level. The FIA’s seminar program is a response to the need, aiming to expand awareness and connect an array of young professionals with industry and policy experts.
Like last year – the series will go from June – July, and will feature weekly discussions over Zoom with Q&A led by experts. Seminars will cover a range of topics (last year’s here), giving participants a comprehensive understanding of the developments, challenges, and opportunities within the broader fusion ecosystem.
Sign ups are open for interns and young professionals at FIA member and affiliate member companies. For more information on how to participate – please contact FIA Head of Public Affairs and Communications, Caroline Anderson.
