Fusion Innovation Research Engine (FIRE) Collaboratives: U.S. Department of Energy Funding Opportunity Announcement
The U.S. Department of Energy has launched an innovative initiative Fusion Innovation Research Engine (FIRE) Collaboratives to establish collaborative networks that bridge the gap between fusion research and industry.
FIRE will form teams of government facilities, academia, and industry to address technical challenges on the road to commercial fusion development. By creating an environment of collaboration, innovation, and shared goals, these Collaboratives aim to accelerate the transition of scientific discoveries into commercial fusion applications.
